A Rogue Librarian's Reading List

{February 22, 2012}   Waiting on Wednesdays: The Traitor in the Tunnel

Title: The Traitor in the Tunnel

Author: Y.S. Lee

Publisher: Candlewick

Release date: February 28th 2012

Plot: There is a petty thief in Buckingham Palace, Mary Quinn is sent in disguised as a maid to uncover the culprit. At the same time she must fend off advances by the Prince of Wales and find out if the Chinese man held in the Tower is in fact her father.

Why I’m waiting: I love a good Victorian mystery and Mary is an intriguing heroine, a half-chinese spy is hardly common in the genre. This is her third adventure.

You can read an excerp on Yee’s website.

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine. I plan to participate for the next year at least (because my to read pile really needs to be longer ;P). If you’d like to join in, grab a graphic, write a post and leave a link on her site.
