A Rogue Librarian's Reading List

{October 30, 2010}   Nanowrimo

In two days, nanowrimo or national novel writing month will be starting again.

For all of you with half a novel in a drawer or who have dreamed of becoming a novelist but never thought you could, this is your chance. The goal of the event is to write a 50,000 word (or more) novel in 30 days.It sounds daunting but there’s nothing quite like the feeling of finishing it.

This is my fifth year participating. I have always found it to be hectic and fun. And for someone like me who has a lot of ideas but never seems to find the time or the discipline to finish a novel it is a great exercise. And there’s something about having thousands of people around the world going through the same thing that makes it that much easier.

You can sign up at the nanowrimo website. I participate under the name Jenjoou. Hope to see you there!
